George Boole's letters

  • 16 Mar 2015

Some things do not change.

On the eve of Saint Patricks Day, 1851, George Boole wrote to his sister in Lincoln to describe the weather, the festival of the Irish National holiday and the traditional break from Lenten fasting that was happening in Cork.

Catch up with all of George Boole’s observations on the spring time in Cork, the budding trees and the Saint Patricks Day festivities in the Riverside Blog. The collection of the Boole papers are available on line through the Special Collections Department in the Boole Library.
